There are many different types of fencing on the market today but for my money one of the best types is the old traditional picket fence, simply because I think it really looks great especially at the end of a suburban lawn. I have had one installed in my garden for over 10 years now and I really would not change it because I think there is something about the look that is almost magical. As long as there are suburban lawns I think there will be picket fences.
