The Nintendo DS came out in 2004 and really shook the handheld gaming world.  In addition to superior graphics than anyone was used to seeing, the system has two LCD screens, a stylus and the ability to play more than one player on one DS card.  In addition, the WiFi software allows you to chat with others and send them messages on PictoChat.  This is a great feature for those who want to send text messages when gaming.  Other features included 3D graphics in full color and full stereo.  There are also microphones and headphones available for those who want to set voice recognition features.  The Nintendo DS also plays Game Boy Advance Games as well as a host of new games offered for this system.  In addition to the nintendo ds handheld game, there is also the Nintendo DS Lite, which offers the same features but is more lightweight.
